What is Bespoke Keys?

Bespoke Keys is a Canadian custom key fob painting service specializing in BMW key fobs. We offer exact factory OEM colour matching and a durable 2K automotive clear coat finish, so your key fob looks as good as your car.

Which BMW key fobs do you paint?

We currently support three key chassis:

  • BMW F-Series Brick Key Fob (2019 and below)
  • BMW F-Series upgrading to G-Series Blade Key Fob
  • BMW G-Series Blade Key Fob
What's the difference between the Essential and Enhanced packages?

Essential Package — Custom paint on the 3–4 main key fob panels with an exact factory colour match and 2K clear coat. A clean, OEM-style upgrade.

Enhanced Package — Full key fob coverage with paint on every surface, a two-tone colour option, and a customizable logo water transfer decal for a truly unique finish.

The Send-In Process

How does the send-in service work?

Simply place your order and select the Send-In Owner Key option. After checkout, you'll receive instructions on where to mail your existing BMW key fob. We paint it and ship it back to you — your chip stays intact, so no reprogramming is needed.

Do I need to reprogram my key after the send-in service?

No. With the Send-In Owner Key service, we only paint the shell. Your existing chip remains untouched, so your key will work exactly as before.

What if I order a new aftermarket shell?

It depends on which option you choose:

  • Shell only (no chip) — You simply swap your existing key fob chip into the newly painted shell. No programming needed.
  • Shell with chip — The new chip will need to be programmed to your BMW. This can be done at any BMW dealership or by an automotive locksmith.

Paint and Colour Matching

How do you match my car's colour?

If your BMW has its original factory paint, we use your OEM paint code to mix an exact colour match. You can usually find your paint code on a sticker inside the driver's door jamb or in your vehicle documentation.

If your car has been wrapped, we'll identify the closest matching OEM colour code and confirm it with you before we begin painting — so you're always happy with the result.

What is a 2K clear coat?

2K (two-component) clear coat is a professional-grade automotive finish used by body shops. It's significantly more durable than standard clear coats — resistant to chips, scratches, UV fading, and everyday wear.

Can I get a two-tone colour on my key fob?

Yes! Two-tone colour is available with the Enhanced Package. After placing your order, we'll be in touch to discuss your colour combination.

What is the water transfer decal in the Enhanced Package?

A water transfer decal allows us to apply a custom logo or graphic to your key fob. It's a great way to personalize your key with a brand logo, emblem, or unique design. Details are confirmed after your order is placed.

Shipping and Turnaround

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes, our send-in service is available to customers across Canada.

How long does the process take?

Once we receive final confirmation of all the details (colour, package, and any custom options), the painting process takes approximately 7 business days. We'll keep you updated along the way.
